AS YOU LIKE IT deals with the five basic tastes perceived by our taste buds: sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami. In my piece I take a close look at each taste and transform the taste into music. At the end of the piece I also want to leave some freedom to the musicians to create their own balance of these five tastes within short improvisations using phrases and elements from the piece.
